Cats are really bad for the songbirds (I have like four cats, so I'm not preaching - I love cats). Coyotes can even the score a bit. Amazing photo.

I doubt that the sparrow decline is because of cats. I would suspect the environmental toxicities are more the cause.
it's a realistic shot, Louise. unfortunately this is life. and death.
