Abuja National Mosque, Abuja Nigeria

National Mosque in Abuja, capital of Nigeria. Built in 1980.

Abuja was created in the geographic centre of Nigeria to be the capital. It became the capital in 1991. It is laid out with super highways and grand buildings. All the poor Nigerians live far away on the outskirts of the city, so there are no slums in the city proper.

The cathedral under construction is just visible on the left corner.
