Introducing FlickrQ - Schedule Your Uploads

I have been frustrated for a while that there is no decent (web-based) method for queuing up and scheduling photo uploads to Flickr. Therefore I created this neat little tool called FlickrQ and have made it available for everyone to use for free. I hope you find it useful: flickrq.com/

Thanks guys. Kees, unfortunately it is not possible to run this on your own site for now. Will let you know if that changes.

Hi Sebastien, unfortunately not as I have had to mess with the underlying wordpress code. Perhaps in the future if there is enough demand.

      Thanks for your response.
I keep this idea to make mine (surely a Silverlight/C# application).

Awesome! I have been looking for something like that for ages! Was just about to code my own but than I found your thing!

But for me it's the same question like for Sebastien: I would like to get that as a WordPress Extension if it'll be possible in the future.

This is a great way to control the uploads. I will definitely try this one. The panel design and gui looks very refined too. Thanks for your efforts.

I would love to use it and registered on it, set up my settings etc. but I can't figure out how to upload my own photos there. it says: "Please upload your images using our file uploader" but I can't find this file uploader. Maybe I am blind. It would be really nice if you could tell me where I can find that file uploader.

    17. Burrard-Lucas Wildlife Photography (33 months ago | reply)

Hi Liisa, the uploader is a Java applet therefore you need to allow it when you first open the page. If you don't see it then there is probably something in your browser security settings preventing it from loading.

    18. CharmingLiisa (33 months ago | reply)

thanks a lot, that was it! Now I could upload my photo and queue it.

Wordpress has the function too.. If you want to post something new.. At the right you see "publish immediately" when you click on "edit" you can change the date of the post. This is how you schedule in Wordpress :)

    20. CHRISSPdotCOM (33 months ago | reply)

Yes Wordpress can post posts with scheduled dates (I already use this) but what this thing called: FlickerQ can do is schedule Flickr Uploads. It's different and WordPress it self can't do that.

ISSUE :(.. when i come to the Upload Photos page.. i don't see any file uploader :(.

I have successfully installed the gear under Turbo as well but the upload page is still not coming up.. can someone help please?

    22. Burrard-Lucas Wildlife Photography (32 months ago | reply)

Hi Yogendra, the uploader is a java applet so you might have to change some of your browser's security settings to allow it to run.

It is really very helpful - thanks!
But for large batches, I would like to have a lower limit than 1 hour, or -if this is easier- uploading 2 in one go.
Also, for large batches, an auto-queue would be really convenient. Having to click 200 images to queue and waiting several seconds each time until the page is responsive again takes a lot of time.

It seems it Does not work anymore..... ....

      :-(

    29. J e n s (12 months ago | reply)

Has worked for me almost flawlessly for the last weeks.
There were a few hiccups over the last months, but overall, availability seems to very good.

I'd still love an auto-queue with constant and user-defined steps. :)

    30. Matt. Create. (Roads Less Traveled) (10 months ago | reply)

Seems to not be working. I get this message...

      Ready for upload! Stand by...

It's been saying that for over 12 hours. :-(

Works flawlessly again! Very helpful tool when it works :)
