Double-camera tripod!

Double-camera tripod! by BURИBLUE.
So, I'm going shooting tonight, but I only have one tripod, and I want to try out my new Holga with some Fuji Acros 100. So I did what any true Holga shooter would... I whipped out the gaffer tape! Now I can shoot two long exposures at once. Sweet...

Nice rig! You may be onto something here... this sure beats luggin' 2 tripods around hmmm.... though I guess the ideal use here is with one good camera and one that can you wouldn't mind getting slightly jostled...

Nikon's marketing/advertisement division would not be happy with you. :)

The only problem is I can't see the film counter window... but I know it takes ~1 1/6 turns to advance 1 frame, so I'll just wing it.

@Skazama - yeah, if I jostle the Holga too much, what am I out - like, 17 bucks?!

I think the priority is all wrong here....shouldn't the holga be on top? yah know.....because it's cooler?! Doh! Did I say that out loud!? Hah! Really, tho, looks like fun. Can't wait to see whatcha get.

TEND - nope, I just push the shutter down (in "B" mode) and then place a clamp across the square part behind the lens, which prevents the shutter trigger from coming back up.

Dean - I put gaffers tape over them. I'm the kind of guy who cuts the logos off his clothes, too... call me crazy.

The Holga Mods cable release is not worth the cash. I have gone through 2 in the last year – the plastic threads keep tearing out on me. Randy replaced the first one for me no charge but I’m not going to send my currently stripped one back.

My plan is to epoxy a steel nut to the side.

Heheh that's beautiful - I won't do that to your Pentax though, that gets a real tripod =) I DO like the idea of the clamp..... I think I'll be getting a Holga 120N soon hehehe!

Oh, for anyone curious about how I'm holding the Holga shutter open:

I just use gaffer's tape to hold the shutter button down. I plan to buy another Holga and just remove the shutter mechanism. Take off the lens cap for exposures, put it back on when yr done.

LaFever - I meant I can't see the window because the Holga is gaffer-taped to the tripod! I think I'm gonna buy a cheapo 30 buck tripod soon, so I can see the window and shoot with 2 cameras at the same time.

RE: a few comments back on the covering of the camera logos. I put black tape covering the Canon logo on my D20 and Nikons as well. It's a trick for those of us that trek into thug infested metropolitain areas on occasion. I actually got the idea of low profiling your gear for war zone cities in Popular Photography magazine.

I got my roll from Samy's camera, but it's really crap. It isn't really sticky enough - I'm keeping an eye out for the stuff that's white on the sticky side - it seems to hold better.
