Day's End Rock

    Newer Older

So, I kinda skipped out on work an hour early to catch the sunset ; )

Can you blame me? I mean, I just got a D300, fer cryin out loud!

So far it's been an absolute joy to shoot with. The large viewfinder makes it much easier to compose and level landscapes vis-a-vis the D70. The autofocus is lightning fast and intuitive to play around with. I bought an MC-30 remote shutter release, and thought at first I would miss my wireless remote. No way - this one has the shutter half-press function that was sorely missing from the wireless remote.

And the image quality has been stunning, as well. I plan to take it out this evening again to shoot some long exposures under the moon. That should be the real test ; )

@Reed - thanks, but this is not HDR. It's a single exposure, processed once. I used a GND filter to accommodate the wide dynamic range.

Great capture of the colours. Very well composed. Like the way the shapes of the rocks seem to mirror the shapes of the clouds

THIS IS SO PRETTY - JUST LIKE A MAGAZINE PHOTO. I love the complete originality of the concept. Wow! You are a genius - just like Robert Frank or maybe even Andre Kertz. Have you, I wonder, been influenced by these lesser artists?
