Finally, some clouds! Santa Barbara has mostly cold, clear nights, with few or no clouds. I've been waiting three months for a combination of half moon (and up) + cloudy skies... Hopefully they stick around for a while.

-Added to the Cream of the Crop pool as most interesting.

-alterednate: not a fire, it's actually a restaurant (the Brown Pelican) that's nestled between two cliffs. The glow beyond the last cliff is Santa Barbara proper, and the little lights on the horizon are oil platforms.

@trevor - I leave my EXIF data intact nowadays. Check the "Additional Information" panel to the right and click on "more properties"; that'll tell you just about everything about the image...

@bryn- it's called Hendry's, and it's between Santa Barbara and Goleta, CA

Jim - it's near the end of Las Positas. It's also known as Arroyo Burro beach. There's a restaurant called the Brown Pelican, which is where the lights are coming from in this pic.
