Rokkakudo's Pondside House the Birthplace of the tea ceremony.tifRokkakudo's pondside house. The priest who resided here, known as Ikenobo was so skilled at the tea ceremony that others came to him to ask for advice. Thus this unassuming structure is said to be the birthplace of sado, or the modern Japanese tea ceremony.

Jizo-sama are said to be Bodhisatva's who have achieved enlightement and who have elected to stay behind to help others to find the path. They are also said to guide the spirits of children who have passed away and which may be having difficulty making their way to the afterlife.
