Rokkakudo's Pondside House the Birthplace of the tea ceremony.tifRokkakudo's pondside house. The priest who resided here, known as Ikenobo was so skilled at the tea ceremony that others came to him to ask for advice. Thus this unassuming structure is said to be the birthplace of sado, or the modern Japanese tea ceremony.
