Summer

Oh, I miss summer. I especially miss California summers.

It's getting warmer here in WA. But it will never be California warm.

Having lived in CA all my life, I never understood what people meant by "missing it."

I get it now. It's the things you don't think you'll miss - the little minut details of your everyday life that are no longer there.

I miss Humboldt. I miss the sun. I miss the rain. I miss the food - oh dear lord, I miss the food.

But I know we weren't meant to stay there - at least, for now. A job would have presented itself if we were. But the timing wasn't right.

So we wait.
