Strobist?

Is she laughing at him for this ridicules looking rig? :-)
Í wonder what he has in here: more flashes? or a LS?
If I remember correctly a portable printer....
Actually, a flask for inspiration on flash rig setup...
Ferrari #1 A-OK
Probably a small nuclear reactor to help power his small city of lights.
I wonder how I can light the flatest ?.......
This spot is not well illuminated. He should have thought of the BEHIND!
This is his workout.
Camera otaku will probably never see what's under here
Flash much?
Strobist? by StrikingShots Photography.
Seen whilst attending the Wonder Festival in Tokyo....

Quite the lighting rig, 4 flashes (3 top 1 mounted below the lens) all on the one bracket. I guess he was trying to emulate a ring flash, I honestly have no idea how effective it was though gven that there was no shortage of daylight I'm pretty sure it is overkill.....

No idea, but the whole day was spent watching people with insane bracket setups, though this one was the most outlandish for sure....

Also you need to have a "power pose" when shooting, non of this moving your feet, you have to lean at retarded angles to get the shot, or else noone will take you seriously....

They are Lumiquest Big Bounces. They are resonably effective if you want a very soft light, however you lose about 3-4 stops of light.....

I think the notes in the photo are wrong;
That's actually some sort of ultra-advanced, atom-splitting battery pack on his waist, not a printer or more flashes.
The benefit is he can light whatever city he's working in with that thermonuclear battery pack for an average of two weeks!
:D

Not sure why people have a problem with this guy. Who hasn't used 2 flashes at once? We do it to get the light how we want it. All this guy has done is extend that to 4 and use a bracket to solve the practical problem of holding them all. Good for him, I say.

The effect probably looks somewhat like a ringflash (Studio ones, often called "Beauty ring"), but he can use ETTL...

Its not ridiculous... imagine when someone with a Sony "T" series camera (Or any "wallet sized camera") look at us, carring a gigantic SLR, 3 or 4 lenses, 3 flashes, umbrella , PW, 2 stands, some clamps, tons of batteries/Rechargeable AA's, etc... what do you imagine they think of us???

He made a custom equipament, that suits his needs and it's versatile enough... why are you guys mashing?
