*Bundy*'s photostream  

Found this old rundown home on a side road and knew I had to stop to take a few quick shots of it.

The owner of the property came along thinking I was someone with the government and Air Force trying to take his land from him. The local Military Air Base has appropriated a bunch of land from people and he is one of the few holdouts. He's not happy over the possibility of losing his families land and farm and is fighting them.

Turns out he knows my family and became much friendlier and didn't mind me being there.

The house is collapsed in the middle but the thick underbrush and trees make it impossible to get a good shot of it or get much closer. Still, I thought this turned out OK. I think it works much better as a black and white.

I see this every year but it still fascinates me not only how the ice forms along the shore line in the winter but the sound of the loose ice moving in the water. I don't know if this video does it any justice but it's quite loud when you're standing near it. Kinda like the sound of stirring a really large Slush Puppy.
