Tyg from Last Drop by Bruce Gholson and Samantha
Bulldog Pottery, Seagrove, NC
These tygs are a collaborative effort between Bruce Gholson and Samantha Henneke made for the exhibition Last Drop: Intoxicating Pottery, Present and Past. This exhibition is on view from December 9, 2017 - April, 2018 at the North Carolina Pottery Center.
A tyg is an English communal drinking vessel with multiple handles that allow for ease in use, and for a group to readily pass the vessel to one another.
The exhibition is curated by Rob Hunter, the editor of Ceramics in America, a collaboration between the North Carolina Pottery Center, Seagrove, NC and the Chipstone Foundation, Milwaukee, WS.
