I feel the blur is somehow "forbidding" (empecher) me to see the texture better. I also find the tones too "yellowish".

I want to touch it, too. And I like the yellowish tones and the texture being obscured in places.

I wanna touch it too! I think it's a great macro and of a less common object (not a bug or flower to be seen)

wow - now you got me really laughing - the image of that alone just cracks me up - it would be great - I live on the second storey with a balcony that over looks a bit of a lawn that goes right into an alley...only problem - wouldn't recongnize any of you in person - you'd have to print out your icons and wear them like masks...

Wish you didn't take it thru the glass.
I believe that this kind of shot would really benefit from the texture, and this has none.

I disagree with Kiki J, i think this has great texture. In fact before i scrolle through the comments, i was going to say, "great texture, great colour".

good rustic feel to this. I already commented above, so

in large esp, its just too in your face -where I also found the noise unbearable
you barely got the focal point in focus.
too saturated, too burned,
too bad.

Let me get this straight... you shot this through glass and it has not been heavily "processed"? That being the case:

i have to say that i'm dying to see what this was like without the glass. i know, it was stuck, but it just doesn't have enough reach-out-and-touch-it for me. too soft.

Nate C  Pro User  says:

I like the color and the composition, but I am just too bothered by the fact that nothing is really in focus here, and I don't think the fact that you shot it though glass should exempt it from that. It's not as if the fact that you shot it through glass is in some way communicated by the photograph itself, so it ends up just being plain blurry.

LIKE: The color, and the grit. I can almost feel it in my hand.

DON'T LIKE: The top right corner (and left to a degree) is the same brightness as the rest, the pixelation is distracting. Maybe if it was a tad darker, to keep me focused on the ball and might give it a bit more depth too.

NOT SURE: Does this tell me any story on it's own? It's nice when in the context of your colors and lines collection (although the mood is a little different than the neon pics), but alone -not sure if I would hang it on my wall unless I was a baseball coach. -and even then it would be surronded by other baseball photos.

So, as a stand alone, I vote deleteme. If it is part of a collection, or has some special context...

Sigh. Not coming at this from a scoring group, but this shot, I love it. Probably because I'm a baseball fan... but to a hardcore (read: insane) baseball fan, every ball, especially an old ball, has stories inherent in its smallest part. It's a word of the language we call baseball, and the stories it writes, if you read the book, are both personal and incredible.

Er.

Nice shot!
