I agree with you. How do you like the
autofocus speed of this lens compare to the
70-200 lens? I tried the 85mm f1.2 II couple
months ago with the 1Ds MK III. It balance
out very well when I hold it with the pro
body.

The autofocus acquisition is slower than a
lot of the other L lenses, especially
compared to the 70-200, but once it locks
focus, tracking and keeping focus is not too
bad despite it not using USM. The 85 is
certainly a very big lens, but it does
balance well with a pro body.
