this is my first time ever painting with acrylic paint-it was really fun, but I am still not "happy" with it, that's my problem, I'll make something and then throw it away due to lack of confidence. We recently moved and the moving company lost everything-I lost all of my supplies that I have acquired for years, so I have decided to be thankful, and sorta like the gee's bend women, work with my scraps that I am fortunate enough to gather.

this week i was trying to work on my backgrounds, making them have depth and movement, this is only my second acrylic painting, so I like the background, I am not happy with the whole thing, but I always seem to be at the bottom of the U with my art....I am inspired by Penelope Dullaghan penelopeillustration.com/ I still need to get better control for fine lines, I am used to carving in clay for my main picture, so soft brushes are quite a jump!

described as the storm of a lifetime for here in northern california, we had over 1400 lightening strikes, it was such a good reminder of our life in Michigan! luckily we did not get any forest fires from this storm!
