These were on sale at thinkgeek. In a moment of indulgence, I bought them. This works out to about 50 cents an ant, I think. The Altoids tin is the perfect size for holding them. (and included for comparison.)

My 8 year old would love a can of ants. He usually has to settle for lollipops with crickets or packets of cheese-flavored mealworms.
