Personally, if I were to remake this if-you-don't-buy-this-product-terrible-things-will-befall-you-and-your-family ad (for very large values of me being evil), I would take the picture for this specimen en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucanus_swinhoei and color it red. What's 'e do, nibble your bum? YES, HE DOES! ;)
And the de-stink-tive shape of the stinkbug should be pretty common knowledge. But, then, although I don't eat insects, I do raise them and admire them. I collect books about cockroaches or that have "cockroach" in the title. Friends send me books on insects, especially cockroaches, as gifts. Why are we bug people considered strange? There are cat people, dog people, people people, fish people . . . so why shouldn't there be bug people?

Yes, they can live in all sorts of spaces--even electrical outlets.
