Elysia ornata

Elysia ornata by budak.
This is a 1.5 inch long sea slug called Elysia. They are also known as sap-suckers as they pierce and drink the contents of seaweed, turning green in the process as the chloroplasts are distributed through tits body. They appear seasonally on our shores, and this specimen was found at about 430 am on Vesak Day at the swimming lagoon at Big Sisters' Island.
