Still playing with the B+W ND400 (-9 stops) filter I bought a few weeks back. I love the effect you get from the long time exposures, but it's not always easy to get good shots (ready mood altering shots). In some of them the rocks are perfect, others the waves are "dreamy" but the clouds aren't right, and some the sky is awesome, but the rest of it is crap... well you get the idea. Anyway, I thought I process another image from my lagoon-rock piles shoot just a few blocks from my house the other day. I didn't like the colors when I got done with it, but the "effect" was good enough (for now), so I converted this photo into a B&W shot. It's not a bad shot, but it's definitely not a "Holy crap, I want that shot in a 40x60 on my living room wall" type of image. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep shooting with the filter and see what else I can come up with :)
As always, "Thanks" for visiting my photostream and leaving comments about my pictures.
Have a great weekend!
