Yosemite is very amazin, an unbelievable place. Though I think its best when there are no crowds. ;) Though Washington is pretty amazing as well, and no crowds. :P

I grew up in Northern California, and I always assumed that Yosemite was a smoggy, overrated, overcrowded national park. I liked Lassen. I liked the northern coast.
When I was in my early thirties, I went to Yosemite on a whim at about 6 am on a Tuesday in February.
No one was there. The sun came up. The sky was clear, there was snow on the ground. It was sweater weather.
El Capitan gleamed.
I was wrong, it seems.
