Finally got out to Peak to Peak highway yesterday after living in Colorado for almost 2 years now. What a gorgeous drive that is. I originally wanted to capture a nice sunset with Lily Lake and Longs Peak as the focal points but the wind was just too much to get a good reflection. Along my drive back home I noticed this fence running along the side of the road with a peak in the background and decided I didn't want to come home empty handed.

I went for a hike the other night at Green Mountain in Lakewood. I got to my favorite spot in the area just a few minutes after sunset so most of the color in the sky was gone. I noticed how cool the dried out foreground looked and wanted to make that more of the focal point since the sky was dulling out. This is a 3 shot bracketed and layered together in Photoshop.

Took a drive over Kenosha pass today too see the explosion of fall colors. Once I got up near the pass there were soooo many cars and people up there. The colors are in full force and are beautiful. The afternoon sunlight was working with me creating some shadows on the foothills.

Took a drive over Kenosha pass today too see the explosion of fall colors. While hiking back to the car I saw this view overlooking the front range and decided it would look really good as a black and white photo.

I went for a drive through the Echo Lake area yesterday in search of some good fall scenes. Along my drive there was a ton of color along the lower elevations but nothing really in the area I had in mind. I ended up just pulling off the side of the road to capture this wall of color. I'm excited for the white stuff that follows this.
