I bet the movie is no where near as good as the real thing.

I had an oceanography professor in college that was showing us some slides of the Antarctic, penguins, etc, once. Then he said "And I could only get that close with the zodiac and then it jumped in the water". I was insanely jealous. Then he related stories of being chased by killer whales in the same boat...

Anyhow, GREAT stream.

The movie's good, but judging from your photos, you're already living the march of the penguins! Great stuff!

After living with the penguins, you might be disappointed by the movie!

But after seeing the movie with my daughters, this is like a true celebrity sighting! I'm all speechless and nervous in their presence!

I love this photo too (as you can see I'm a bit of a penguin fanatic) and totally envious that you're in Antartica while I'm in the wrong hemisphere! I've adopted a penguin on this photo, hope you don't mind :)

i was so dissapointed with the movie! I would see it again just for the images. I would put on mute for the sound. Listening how the english version imposes human feelings on the penguins is pathetique! I heard that the french version is even worse in this sense.
A scene of a freezing egg is the climax: they patch together the image of a penguin moving the head up an down, with that of an egg as it freezes. In the background, Freeman says "and the pain is unbearable".

Great Experience, and THANKS FOR THE PHOTO SERIES!!!!!

Not sure you won't be disappointed by the anthropomorphism of the movie (then again, maybe it was just me).

Great shot... again...
