Day 56: Growing Pains aka Restless Leg Syndrome aka Stress![]() Well through out my life I have had "growing pains." It is the feeling of the muscle from my calfs pulling away from the bone, but at the same time the muscle balls up and is a constant charley horse. The only way I know of getting rid of the pain quickly is to jump into a HOT bath.
The doctors said I had "growing pains" when I was younger. This makes sense when I was growing. But now it makes no sense, I am no longer growing. Then there is the Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) that I have seen more of in the past few years. That makes more sense then growing pains, but I believe it is caused by stressed. The first day of classes could be the cause. As of now, Melissa gave me a good leg rub which took the pain away, finally. when I get RLS I have to walk it off. Try going to the gym and doing the stairmaster treadmill. Definately the most challenging cardio machine;however, it helped my RLS. Also try a chiropractor. It might be your back simply needs an adjustment. Get x-rays first and check it out....
Hope that this helps
