What goes around comes around

There's no way to get this result from a single exposure. This had to be an HDR photo.

Agreed! As usual your HDR is quite subtle, I love it! I am not sure if it is apparent to the occasional viewer that this is HDR or that you need to do HDR but I think too that with the shady foreground and the sky there is no other way to do this.

Very good HDR.

My personal preferred method for handling shots like this is to manually blend two exposures with some layer masking.

Great use of HDR! So many HDRs are hypersaturated and look like those old hand-tinted postcards from the early 20th Century. This looks natural. Excellent.
