fire on the mountain and carbon dating

i rarely get the chance to buy 'expensive' yarns, but post surgery i splurged on some of the hot 'socks that rock' yarn, one skein is for me (the brightly coloured 'fire on the mountain' and a skein is a birthday gift for a friend of mine. i have to say this about it? this stuff is GORGEOUS in the skein- i can't wait to knit it up.
