I've never been one for stickmen on the back of your car. Frankly, my family is too varied, beautiful, extensive, and complex to be depicted as stick figures.

But if I had to...

Probably one of my favourite portraits ever. This is me as a My Little Pony, drawn prior to the reboot with all of its online bronie following and everything.

Cari R arrived in my English 11 class on the first day with a tiny, pink, plastic My Little Pony backpack held together with tape and safety pins. I commented on it, and she said that she had been using that backpack since grade one. I told her I thought that was pretty cool. The backpack didn't make it all the way through grade twelve, unfortunately.

Another from Rochelle L. Though I certainly wore a Green Lantern shirt in the classroom, I'm not sure I've ever gone barefoot.

Siobhan and Janine drew this series of portraits of me as animals when they were in a grade eight English class with me -- the last year I taught grade eights, I think!

The snail and elephant are both pretty awesome.
