Thanks Steve. I still need to work on my lighting. I have a new flash, but until I get diffuser, I'm still using the room lighting, which is terrible in my kitchen at night.

Yes I agree lighting is quite an issue in a kitchen! I try to mix different lights (fluorescent , tungsten, daylight...) but it's not easy! A diffuser is the best solution.
