A 32-megawatt photovoltaic array is being built in the southeast corner of the Brookhaven National Laboratory site. Construction began in October 2010 after agreements were finalized between Brookhaven National Laboratory, BP Solar, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Long Island Power Authority.
