I was determined not to do a picture of the Gormley statues today as they've been done zillions of times. Didn't quite go to plan...

On another note; this may be my last post on Flickr for a while. I've learned a lot about photography through this site and met some brilliant local photographers through here but I can't keep up properly.

Most of last year was spent with me getting less than four hours sleep a night and since Christmas I've been thinking about making things a bit easier and getting a better life balance.

I'm going to be posting images in a similar manner to what I've done here but will now do it on my blog: brianroberts.wordpress.com. If you'd like to you can sign up to it and see what I'm up to.

I'll also be on here when I can and will catch up on posts and admin duties so I'm not disappearing completely.

Thanks for all the kind words from those who have commented and supported me. I've learned a lot through here and made some great friends.

Take care everyone.

New Year, new site

New Year, new site

Throughtout most of the Christmas period I've been working on a totally new website and I've just launched it up today. Hope people will check it out, www.brianrobertsimages.com and enjoy it.

This was going to be my original website name (hence my Flickr name of BR-i) but went for aperturepriority.co.uk. I'll keep that original site going but will use it for my wedding stuff.

Happy New Year everyone.

Mum

Mum

My mum has had Alzheimers for several years and has been in a care home for the last two years. She is now confined to a wheelchair and it is deeply, deeply sad to see her going away like this.

My sister came up from London for a quick visit and I took my camera over, initially just to do some family shots. Things started to develop as I stayed on and I started to do a document of the afternoon which I've put on my blog: brianroberts.wordpress.com/

It certainly puts life and Christmas in a very different perspective.
