Grilled Mackerel, Japanese-style![]() Nothing new here for this teriyaki mackerel in term of the soy glaze, except I added maltose (new ingredient I'm in love with at the moment) to it to achieve the mirror-shiny effect.
I regretted not wiping off the smear at the time I took the picture, but now that I look at it on the screeen, I actually like it. In combination with a few drops on the top right, it now looks like some brush strokes. Very 'oriental' feel overall. Whatever that means ;) Commentsmultiflora says:mhmhmhm !
