Pappy O'Daniel campaigning

Wilbert Lee "Pappy" O’Daniel campaigning for the office of Governor of Texas. In the 1930's O'Daniel became well known in Texas for his radio broadcasts promoting Hillbilly Flour with live music. In 1938 he won the Texas gubernatorial election and would later serve as a U.S. Senator from Texas from 1941-1949. Photographed by Jimmie Dodd.
