Morning in Sydney

Morning in Sydney

Early for me, but I did manage to get out of bed at 4.30am and meet Flickr mate Michael Rathmann, visiting Sydney from the US for an early morning shoot from Mrs Macquarie's Chair looking towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. No colour saturation here. Just straight out of camera.

Tank Stream Way #2

Tank Stream Way #2

The settlement of Sydney was centred on a stream of fresh water that emptied into Sydney Cove. After the first few years the water was proving inadequate and the convicts were set to work digging holding tanks into its watercourse. Hence the first water supply was called The Tank Stream.
.....City of Sydney website
The Tank Stram, which is open to selected visitors twice a year runs under this part of the City.

Having fun with the iPhone 4.
