made from an XL men's button down I got for $2. It is egyptian cotton, a jacquard checker board pattern with blue intersecting the squares. Love how it turned out

No, LFD, it's just the pattern cut out of a man's button-down shirt. The front of my shirt was the back of the b-d, the back of mine was the front of the b-d. Yoke cut from a sleeve.
