Oh gee, look at who's been building... Surprise, surprise!
My latest MOC, which really isn't exactly anything too new is nearing completion. With summer in full swing, I've been able to work on my Vertical Artillery extensively. It may not look like a lot has been built given all the time I've had, although much of what has been added or revamped is hidden from view.
The somewhat circular body of the Vertical Artillery can lean/list to the left/right/up/down as well as turn a small amount to either the left or right. As for the legs, they can do anything a human leg can do. The Vertical Artillery's feet only need a 2x3 flat surface with one stud for each foot to effectively balance. The leg joints bend in a variety of ways; twist, spread in/apart, etc.
Regarding the exterior, a large cargo bed/counterweight was added. This had to be added to compensate for the cannon weight, and to cover the back of a large opening. Its hard to see in these pictures, but the bed blends seamlessly with the body and armor plating above. I expect this area to hold minifigures and/or ammunition for the cannon.
I hope you enjoyed this update! Feel free to comment, your critiques are appreciated! :-)
