Fishmonger Oyster Bar

Fishmonger Oyster Bar

Fishmongers Oyster Bar near Brightleaf square in Durham NC. A shot taken while on a strobist outing.

Maybe not a true strobist shot, it was lit from across the street with a SB600 at full power to add some of the details on the front of the building (the tile work and the masonry most of which was edited out)

Just a photo from a slow period today during the Help-Portrait event at Hillside High school in Durham NC. Had a good time shooting and hanging out. Was a little slower than we would have liked, had about 10 photographers setup in a high school gym. It was setup/advertised by the schools photo class in the school and a large amount of the community.

A face....

A face....

Had a perfectly composed and lit shot, and what happens DefMo decides to waltz right through the frame, what did he think that it was a sidewalk?!? So I zapped him with the death-snooted strobe... That'll teach him to walk through my shots! Got him looking like a deer in headlights...

NCSU Centennial Campus

NCSU Centennial Campus

From the Triangle Strobist meetup at NCSU Centennial campus, there are lots of cool columns, courtyards and other cool things around there. We were working with lighting setups and other things in somewhat of a 'clinic' type setting, was a lot of fun.

This is **~kimberlee~** who was in my group.

Lighting: SB-28 camera right, in a 45" reflective umbrella.

NCSU Centennial Campus-1

NCSU Centennial Campus-1

Triangle Strobist meet at NCSU Centennial Campus. We broke up into small groups to discuss lighting setups and other lighting topics.

Thought this location & framing would make a cool bridal portrait shot

For this one, we had a SB-28 off camera right with a 45" reflective umbrella, sun was to camera right, and as the clouds moved it changed the fill to main and main to fill.
