Library2point0![]() One of the main purposes of this model is to illustrate to myself how I think about Library 2.0. Especially the way the user is in the center and that influence and communication goes both ways. Finally I like the way professional practice is subordinate to all other considerations, but encompasses it all.

I think this is an interesting diagram that provides a good framework for discussion. I do have some quesions/suggestions that I've been thinking about a lot lately. (I'm Associate Dean at Wayne State University where we're actively involved in a number of digital projects that are the basis for my quesitons for you!)
1. First, I might suggest "professional practices" as a plural instead of the singular. I think the library profession has a lot to learn from other professions and could adopt other practices. For example, museums have typically focused on "context" more than "content" (where libraries have been the reverse). Placing collections (particularly digital) in context would really benefit our users. (for example, providing not only digital images but supplementary materials that help explain the image in the context in which it was taken)
2. Next, I think "collections and information resources" should overlap "other libraries, suppliers and publishers" since th web allows us to bring in collections from a variety of locations that are completely transparent to our user but behind the scenes may still be separate to those of us who maintain them.
3. Finally, I think "user" should overlap with "collections and information resources" because I see our users as both "creators" and "consumers" of collections. The best example of this may be a digital project that involves subject experts and students or an institutional repository that involves our faculty.
Anyway....just some thoughts.
