The fellas were a pleasure to work with. They were super laid back, very easy to work with and real polite. We had a really good time shooting this, with the exception of ridiculous amounts of bugs. Colin (middle) lives on a lake outside of Richmond and that is were we shot. Right behind those trees is a beautiful lake, but it attracts of lot of bugs.
We hung all the lights together and the guys made the power supplies themselves to power up the lights through a small generator. Since it was so dark and I didn't want to kill the ambient light from the bulbs, I ended up shooting with a AB-400 with my octobox on it, but without the white diffusion panels and only used the modeling lamp. Overall, it was a good shoot and I pretty happy with the results!
Lighting: AB-400 with octobox in front and above. Modeling lamp only.
