Erosion

All year long, day and night, the waves crash in and recede. The cycle never ceases for even a moment.

I love to watch the waves meet the shore. I wonder at the processes which formed these massive granite boulders and then, over the eons, carved them up and broke them apart.

Thank you both. This is one I posted just for me and didn't expect anyone else to appreciate. Maybe your comments will keep it out of my Least Interestingness Set :)

Nothing at all wrong with this one Brent. I really l like the motionblur of the water and the wonderfully contrasting rocks.

Thanks, AJ. I didn't think anything was technically wrong with it. You know how it is: you post some knowing they'll be popular and others you're less sure of but post simply because you like them. I've been doing this long enough to have some idea what people like (Kirsten's butt) and which ones probably won't get as much attention (an elephant's butt). Sometimes I'm surprised, both ways.

I love this because I love geology; I don't think many people are interested in geology.

This is another amazing picture - I share a fascination with the sea and your pictures are capturing that brilliantly :-)

your long exposure has made the water look like mist, or is that mist?

whatever, it's very good and is my desktop pattern this week, if thats okay

    thanks
