Delicate Arch At Night
Another one of my light painted rock series.
It was beautiful being up at Delicate Arch during sunset... and even more spectacular after the crowds left to watch the moon rise in solitude.

Dawn At Mesa Arch
Recommend viewing this Large On Black to get the experience of what it was like at this incredible location.
OK... Every man and his dog has an image like this one... but if you are staying in Canyonlands, you just HAVE to shoot Mesa Arch at Dawn. It's spectacular... no other word for it.
Single exposure... yes the colours really are that intense.. the reds and yellows are unbelievable on the arch.

Metate Arch By Night
Went out last night to Devil's Garden. It was pretty weird out there by yourself... Huge bizarre rock sculptures loomed all around you... crazy shadows being cast by the full moon..... animals moving in the desert.... occasionally i would spot a set of eyes reflecting in my light when I'd hear something (coyotes?)
A really amazing place.

Mystical Rock
Check this one out Large On Black as the textures and tones are yummy.
This is another shot from Goblin State Park.
I finally had some time to process one of my light painted shots.
This shot was taken about 10pm... unfortunately these were the last of the clouds... they all went away and I had clear skies for the rest of the night.
The foreground was light painted. I was very happy with the way this one turned out... exactly what I had pictured when I was painting.
If you want to learn more about this type of landscape light painting, you might be interested in my eBook which explains how to do it.

goblins everywhere web
Another one to be Viewed Large to appreciate the detail.
This was taken in Goblin State Park... another bizarre out-of-this-world kind of place. I wasn't expecting hundreds or thousands of these weird little goblin-like dudes.
This is a 5 shot stitch (had to show the big guys in WA that I can stitch panos ;-)
