Shedding Time
A Moutain Goat (Oreamnos americanus) on Hurricane Ridge. Though introduced in this mountain range, the shedding wool would have been readily used by pre-columbian people in the Pacific Northwest. The people living on the Olympic Peninsula traded for both goat wool and goat wool blankets with people near the Cascades where they were native.
