Implosion Dust

    Excel Energy destroyed this smokestack this morning at 7:30. There was, curiously, no warning horn. The thing just blew up promptly at the half-hour mark. The explosions were super loud, and the thing kicked up a ton of dust.

    It hadn't burned coal in a long time; recently it was home to Peregrine falcons. It was 570 feet tall and weighed 5,770 tons. It had stood for 36 years.
