Breath of Life's photostream  

I made this photograph during a session I was shooting for my composition class. We were given an assignment to shoot a "head and shoulder shot". No other requirements were given but we were encouraged to "get creative" (of course). My brain has really been turned upside down in the past six months and each day I'm learning what it really means to *not* put any limitations on what you can do. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the end result I forget to play a little. Sometimes I'm so focused on trying to make something "pretty" that I forget to let something take its own shape, in its own time. I'm learning that it's okay to make something a little weird. Maybe weird is just another word for different. And different can be good sometimes too.

Just a silly self portrait taken with my new camera. This week marks the start of my second term at Art Center and though things are about to get even more busy I have plans to keep this site more updated along with my blog/website. I've got lots of new photographs to share with you all and will do so at a (hopefully) steady pace over the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
