Hidden Circles Variant

Hidden Circles Variant

Folded for a friend, I thought this one was neat enough to upload.

She wanted natural colors, which meant my usual nowadays metallic colors were out. I thought "we;;, let's break out the ol' alcohol dyes again!" And this time, I was good enough that they didn't stain my hands utterly.

I also tried out Robin's 80-triangle gridding system. Worked out pretty well, I think, and the density was just about right for what I wanted. I may use this more oft' :)

Paint the Ta-Ta's - Celebrating Life

Paint the Ta-Ta's - Celebrating Life

So I did a talk for the Manchester Art Association in mid-October (on origami, of course). At the end of it, the president, Christiane O'Brien came up to me and asked me to participate in a show called "Paint the Ta-Ta's" for breast cancer awareness month. The show opened this Thursday and it was (is) displayed at the Manchester Memorial Hospital (been there... oh, a month at this point and will be up until the end of December).

If I get some of the names spelled wrong, I apologize. I took pictures of the nametags, but some of them came out too blurry to be fully legible. And please, make every joke you can think of. We didn't hold back at the reception!

Stumbled across this earlier today, and thought it would be a good one to upload.

Lily Pad from Dimension X

Lily Pad from Dimension X

Trying my hand at photographing framed pieces (much more difficult than I thought it would be).

And the reason why I was trying to get good pictures was that all of these framed pieces are now up for sale on my website in an attempt to build funding for paper, frames, convention trips, and similar expenditures: www.brdparker.com/storefront.html
