I made two trips to the same marsh, filling two memory cards, both rare occasions these days. I ended up with a few keepers and it was tough to decide which one to post. I chose this one, but am not really sure it's the best or not.

It was his first time wearing face paint, and only the second wearing his father's hand made wolf head dress. The bead and leather work (mostly not pictured) were made by his mother. A quick glance reveals the intensity of this young dancer as well as the honor he felt.

More information on powwows

A bit of ground haze and low clouds made for an interesting "moon rise". Once aloft, the mega-moon did not disappoint. I could have easily driven home without my headlights.

A big time wind storm rolled our way last week. I headed to an exposed shoreline in hopes of catching a decent sunset. Instead, I was hit with what you see in the photo: bleak, cold, windswept. Oh springtime....
