• That's a sharpie kids! I didn't want the numbers to somehow rub off. I put the numbers on both ends so my roommate couldn't trick me out. HAR!
  • I could number the box too, but that requires too much extra effort when I buy the eggs.

Eggs

I started numbering my eggs because I have always been bad with math. This is why I went to MIT and majored in History. The fact they come in boxes of 15 instead of 12 in Denmark is killing me! Now I always know how many eggs I have left! Thanks to my sharp mind I will never run out of eggs again.

I'm confused...why are we numbering eggs again?

Josh, I think the thinking is that the 15-egg box is so unfamiliar to those of us unfamilar with the 6 or 12 egg box that our ability to know at a glance how many eggs are left goes completely out of whack. This restores that ability.

I totally agree. Marker hacks are the best.

Number a single box, then when you get a new box place it over the old one and flip it, now the eggs have been placed in the numbered box meaning that long term you do less work with the same result.

As a variation: if you have roomates who are always eating your food you can write your initials on half the eggs and their initials on the other half.

If a room mate ate one from the middle, wouldn't that really throw your maths?

Life's too short to number eggs. Please post to www.flickr.com/groups/worldofeggs/

:) Great! I love the light. It makes the eggs so white!

Very structured cooking method. How about a set in Binary format next time? Or HEX!
