Lodged Licorice Refuses to Become Bonus
![]() (Public Commons By The Computers and Phone Booths) - At approximately 10:58 pm on Thursday, Employee 221339 walked by the snack vending machine near the public computer terminals while on break. Inside the machine, a package of Twizzlers Strawberry Licorice was deceptively dangling from its spiral enclosure.
At first, 221339 tried forcefully pushing open the cover to the depository. This technique provided a bonus of licorice before from the other vending machine in the main cafeteria area, but this licorice did not move. Looking both ways for approaching people, Employee 221339 proceeded to push on the vending machine several times in hopes of sending the package down to the depository below. He then noticed that the licorice was hopelessly lodged against a bag of pretzels, and would not fall down without extreme and noticeable effort. 221339 then considered actually buying the licorice, in hopes that two packages would fall instead of only one, but decided against it. "I thought about dropping $1.00 on licorice to hopefully get them both, but then I'd probably finish them in the next hour, and go home from work feeling sick," 221339 said. On Friday morning at 2:13 am, maintenance workers Bernita Ruiz and Ramon Martina successfully dislodged the licorice. Commentslaughsloudly says:Ha ha ha! Poor employee 221339. To be teased
by the licorice like that!
