not really off-road fixed gear, it seems kinda like cross-country running on bikes. road style bikes, with gears and with bigger more treaded tires, At one point in the race, they have to go over an obstacle that forces them off their bike, so they have to dismount and run up or over something. It's pretty interesting to watch.

And yeah Fam is a cool cat. Good you got to meet him, I've known him forever.
