MBTA Neoplan bus 0488 with experimental Cummins engine
This bus were delivered with Caterpillar C9 engines, that sound similar to a garbage truck. This particular bus had it's engine removed and a Cummins engine installed as a test. Not sure if MBTA is going to replace all engines in the midlife overhaul which should be starting soon. Been looking for this bus for over a year, and it is now at Charlestown.
Hmmm.Did we not notice the doors don't match???With 10 RTS's out of service at Everett,ya think they would pay more attention to details, the door is from an old scheme paint version, not many of those survived.Would be funny if it was 8898's doors!
