9/11 We Lived Here - The 2nd Tower just fell!

Taken as I ran uptown from the World Trade Center site. The second tower was in the process of collapsing and thousands of us were evacuating.

    I'm sort of speechless about this set. I can't even imagine what you must have been thinking at that time--how long before you knew what had happened? You must have seen/heard it in person before you heard the news, right?

    I had friends at the Pentagon, and they were all told to evacuate, but most people (on the other side of the building, that is) thought it was just a fire or something until some time later. Many didn't even know a plane had hit until they got home. (I'm sure it was somewhat more apparent at the WTC, though.)
