Teens’ Art Inspired by the BPL's Rare Books Department
The Boston Public Library's Teen Council is made up of a group of eight Boston teens from all over the city. Part of what the Teen Council does is to learn about the Boston Public Library – this includes the staff and library departments. In May 2011, the Teen Council visited the the Boston Public Library's Rare Books Department and saw a few pieces from the permanent collection – things like the Sacco and Vanzetti death masks and a medieval manuscript. They then created their own art inspired by some of the pieces they saw. Here is their art.
