this kid just threw a no-hitter

Wow, I'm glad I didn't upload this one right away, ha ha. Good to have something new to upload when a kid THROWS A FREAKIN' NO-HITTER.

Jon Lester. Amazing. Apparently it's the first no-hitter thrown by a Red Sox lefty since 1956.

OMG, I just spent 20 minutes crying with glee! Then I waited for MLB.TV to archive it so I could watch it all over again! Truly amazing! And I'm so glad we got to see Tek give him the ball, and Francona doing the fatherly hug thing. What a great night. Just.... wow.

What a night!! The hug with Tito was definitely a special moment. Plus Tek sets the record catching no-no's. My downstairs neighbor must think I'm nuts with all the yelling and jumping around that went on up here!

I just found out that a co-worker was there, taken to the park as part of a business thing. She doesn't know anything about baseball, and retelling the story, she got Lester's name wrong and everything. How is that fair? LOL!

The sad thing is that I was bored that afternoon and thought about going down and getting a last minute single ticket at gate E if any were still available. Then I decided to wait for a game with better weather since it was only KC after all. Stupid me! :)
